Půjde o gekona rodu Sphaerodactylus, přičemž teprve v loňském roce vyšel popis a re-popis hned několika druhů tohoto rodu v rámci Hondurasu. např. z ostrova Roatan Sphaerodactylus leonardovaldesi MCCRANIE & HEDGES, 2012, na dalších ostrovech Islas de Bahias se uvádí asi další 2-3 druhy tohoto rodu, takže v tuto chvíli spíše jen orientačně Sphaerodactylus sp., s tím, že by možná mohlo jít o tohoto nového S. leonardovaldesi
